We wait in the valley of dry bones...

THE CATHEDRAL OF OTRANTO

Seat of the Archdiocese of Otranto, Italy.
Founded in 1068 A. D.
August 14, 1480, invading Ottoman Turks massacred 800
men of Otranto, beheading them on the nearby Hill of Minerva.
They were killed because they refused to convert to Islam.
The bones of these resolute martyrs are visible
in reliquaries that surround a chapel
near the main altar of the cathedral.
